		<description>Debt Collectors are vile parasites. I have been told by a solicitor that one should only ever attempt to negotiate with the original creditor. Play hardball with DCAs and they will eventually pass the account back to the OC anyway.

And of course always get full details of the account under data protection SAR and do a CCA request to check that the account is actually legally enforceable (since may loans and credit cards taken out prior to 2007 are not) meaning that if the creditor takes it to court and you defend the claim, the court will be unable to enforce the debt, the claim will be struck out therefore no CCJ. If yours isn&#039;t legally enforceable that will put you in a MUCH stronger bargaining position.</description>
